Hal-Con welcomes Akakioga Cosplay!
We’re thrilled to welcome Akakioga Cosplay to our growing guest list! We’ve got an amazing line up of cosplayers this year!
Dorasae Rosario, known as Akakioga, has been cosplaying for over 4 years and is most known for her Genderbend Static Shock and humanoid Orisa from Overwatch. She is a activist for all cosplayers, promoting that no matter what size, race, sexuality, gender, or even skin tone, should ever stop you from cosplaying who you want and having fun along with it!
Her cosplays have been recognized by Blizzard Entertainment, Kat Blaque, Milestone Media, Geek Bomb, Women vs Cosplay, We Are Black Cosplay, Chocolate City Comics, Kawaii Melanin Girls, Nubiamancy, Black Girls Are Kawaii, many others for her craftsmanship and love of the hobby.
She comes packed with numerous skills, such as working with worbla, eva foam, sewing, and wig styling, her overall knowledge of skills enables her to not only create, but to teach who are willing to learn.
As a person of color, Akakioga understands the importance of diversity as well as representation in the world of cosplay, comics, video games, anime, and the media at large. She uses her platform to promote cosplay equality and inclusivity through her cosplaying. So when she’s not grinding for ranks in Overwatch, she’s creating cosplay and a place of equality!
