Scooby Doo and the gang from Mystery Inc. were kind enough to lend us their iconic Mystery Machine. Hold on one second though: what is the Mystery Machine? The Mystery Machine was never specified as being a vehicle made by any particular manufacturer…Looks like we’ve got another mystery on our hands. The Van borrows inspiration from multiple competing camping wagons. However, once we pull the mask off of this mystery machine, we find the culprit to be a 1965 Dodge A100.
Featuring top notch upholstery work, the A100 is fitted with matching groovy leather seats, and carpeted with enough shag to make the fella in green debate changing his name.
The Mystery Machine is equipped with vibes throughout. Interior LEDs never fail to get the party started. And when duty calls, the gang will be ready to save the day thanks to state-of-the-art ghost detection technology capable of pinpointing a poltergeist up to 15 km away.
While the Mystery Machine isn’t derived from any specific vehicle, there are many cues pointing to the company van being a part of the Dodge line up. Dodge marketed the A100 saying “They work or play with equal ease. Interiors can be converted for all forms of outdoor fun. And the same unit can double as a tough, hardworking business partner.”, and Mystery Inc. has provided enough examples to show this statement true.
And it would still just be a Dodge A100 if it weren’t for those meddling kids!
