Hal-Con Tickets & Passes

Hal-Con is a three-day event, and attendees can join us for one, two, or all three days. Some ticket types come with extra perks like swag bags and exclusive access to events.

Please note that we do not hold back any tickets, including day passes, for sale at the door.

Ticket FAQs

What does my ticket include?

General entry admission passes (Day Passes and Weekend Passes) include entry into the convention during regular hours on the given day(s). Warp Speed and Impulse Passes have additional perks, the specific perks are listed in the Weekend Passes section above. 

Tickets do not include autographs or photo ops—learn more about autograph and photo vouchers here.

How can I pick up my pre-purchased badge or bracelet?

You can pick up your badge by bringing either a printout or a digital copy of your ticket to the Registration Desk in the Argyle Street lobby of the Halifax Convention Center.

What are the ages for a Child Pass?

A Child Pass grants admission to children ages 6 to 12. Children 5 and under do not require a ticket. Attendees 13 and older require a regular ticket.

Will my child need adult accompaniment?

Any child using a Child Pass and children under the age of 5 require adult accompaniment. Adults will need to have their own admission ticket or pass.

What are the ages for a Senior Pass?

Senior Passes are available to those aged 65 and up.

What do I need to get a Student/Military/Senior ticket?

To be able to get a Student/Military/Senior Pass, you must be able to show corresponding ID upon entering the convention. Failure to present the required ID will result in an additional $10 ticket upgrade fee that you’ll need to pay before being admitted to Hal-Con.

If the ticket type I want sells out, will there be any more available at the door?

We do not hold back tickets for sale at the door. Attendance limits at Hal-Con are based on the legal capacity of the venue, and it has always been our policy to release all available tickets in a given category at the same time. 

I bought a ticket but now I can’t go. What are my options?

We’re sorry to be missing you! Tickets are non-refundable, but they are transferable. You can give or sell your ticket (at or below face value) to someone else. If you would like to transfer your ticket, please email Tickets@hal-con.com or fill out our Ticket Transfer Form to do so.

Terms and Conditions

The purchase of any ticket constitutes an acceptance of all of the terms and conditions. Tickets are available while supplies last. All tickets are non-refundable.

You agree to abide by the policies and regulations outlined in our policies page as well as those imposed by the venue.

You agree to abide by any and all Public Health guidelines as recommended by the Government of Nova Scotia at the time Hal-Con 2024 takes place.

By attending Hal-Con 2024, you consent to be photographed, filmed, and/or otherwise recorded and to the release or publication of any and all recorded media of your appearance or voice for any reason in connection with Hal-Con Sci-Fi & Fantasy Association.

Some guests may charge additional fees for autographs and photo ops.
