Halifax and Hal-Con knows Halloween isn’t just for the 31st of October … it’s whenever we want it to be!
Saturday, October 20th 2018, presume Rain OR Shine … Downtown Halifax will see the 6th Hal-Con Halloween Parade! This event page and Hal-Con’s web-site will be updated to provide as much information as possible to all invited groups plus Hal-Con committee, volunteers, and friends – AND the public! – who want to participate in this Parade that has gone so well over the past five years.
The organizers of this parade event welcome dogs to walk alongside their two-legged parade goers, as well as service animals. Please refer to this link for rules and regulations for those wishing to include a canine participant: http://new.halifax.ca/animalservices/Dogs.php
Please note, as with past years, this is a Walking Event parade – no motorized vehicles, and no live animals, with exceptions of canines on collars and leashes as per HRM bylaws, + service animals.
Many Groups will receive social media and e-mail invites to take part, which will include information on important times and route information, which they will be asked to rsvp, so that groups can be entered to be judged for prizes.
However! Hal-Con will also need “GreenShirts” to not only carry Hal-Con’s Banner but also be Route Monitors and Walkers – so, the more volunteers and friends, the better!
